I have worked with numerous people in the last 2 years trying to bring my business to life. All of them have been helpful in their own way.
Yet the tangible result of clearly explaining what I do, inspiring people with my words, and inviting them to join my container were elusive.
Every year about this time my accountant likes to ask – is it a hobby or a business? Every year I get more frustrated and annoyed because I desire a business. Yet my reality is a hobby. I know I have something to share with the world and I was determined to make this the year everything changed.
Writing is one of my superpowers. Didn’t think I needed “help” in that department. Never thought the missing piece was in my copy. Left to my own devices, I never would have asked for copy help. But I had been lurking on someone’s page for over a year and watched as their message got clearer, more focused, more effective. Thought nothing of it until I was in a container with CiCi and learned that she was an integral part of that transformation.
She ran a Create Your Black Friday Offer special and it gave me a chance to see if copy was the obstacle. I had tried everything else so I figured I would give it a shot.

And like everything else along this path, it takes more than just a thought to make it a reality. I was activated but not fully integrated. There was a glimpse. I had the vision and had a better idea of where I wanted to go, but I was still knee-deep in the middle of a swamp.
After trying to do it myself for a bit, I decided it was time to work with CiCi again in a longer container. Spending time with her and working together to bring my vision to life has been magic. She recognized and understood me, my mission, and my people. She reflected back what I had shared with her in a way that helped me to put words to all of it so that I could finally answer the question “What do you do?”
Figured out the block wasn’t in the copy but in the dream-up phase – the scaffolding and structure in the upstream where abstract, unseen, and intangible ideas are alchemized into practical, observable outcomes that other humans can recognize and connect with. No other person I worked with was willing to go there with me. No matter how hard I tried, I could not do that part alone.

CiCi met me where I was and walked alongside me showing me the guideposts. Every time we would meet, I would dump out the junk drawer of ideas in my mind and within minutes she had skillfully sorted, organized, and optimized what I said.
