There

They’re is a contraction- a combination of two words. Broken down, it means ‘they are.’ It can be applied to people or things, like books or movies.

They’re really good movies.

Their shows posession, so it has to do with what belongs to, relates to, or is made or done by certain people, animals, or things.
Some examples are:
It’s their car.
He is their president.
We’re their neighbours.
It can also be used as a singular pronoun. For example, a non-binary person’s pronouns could be they/them rather than she/her.
