Work your way through these questions slowly as they may bring up difficult memories for you.
- Did you ever see your parents in the nude? What were your feelings?
- Did you ever see your parents having sex? What were your feelings?
- In every family, a child usually has chores assigned. What were your chores? Were they fair? Could you do them in such a way that your parents were pleased?
- Did your parents ever seem to like your friends more than you?
- Did your friends ever seem to like your parents more than you?
- Did you have any bad experiences at Sunday school? If so what were they?
- Did you ever have any bad experiences at summer camp, school clubs etc? If so what were they?
- Did your appearance, look, dress embarrass you? Did you feel different from your class mates?
- Did your parents want a child of the opposite sex when they had you? Did they name you or dress you to match the sex of their choice?
- Write down any childhood memories that were/are painful
- Which one of the above questions about childhood was the toughest to answer? Do you know why?
